His Excellency, Archbishop Anthony Sablan Apuron, is announcing that there are at least 75 slots for anyone who is interested in the pilgrimage to Rome for the Beatification of Pope John II on May 1, 2011. At least 40 individuals have submitted their names for the pilgrimage.

Pilgrims will depart Guam starting April 26 and arrive into Rome the next day. The airfare cost approximately $2055 economy fare, round-trip. If pilgrims wish to make additional travel plans, they can be arranged with Travel Pacificana. The list of pilgrims and those who will travel with the Archbishop will be grouped accordingly. Group travel arrangements in Rome such as lodging, food, transportation, excursions, etc. will be provided by Feb. 11. The estimated cost will be an additional $2000. There will be a planned excursion to visit the San Giovanni Rotundo, where St. Padre Pio is buried.
