Christmas joy at Seminary

For The Pacific Voice

The Redemptoris Mater Seminary held the 6th Annual Seminary Christmas Concert on Sunday December 19th to celebrate the joy of Jesus’ birth.

The harmonious Christmas carols began at 6 p.m. as a great crowd of friends and benefactors of the Seminary gathered at the courtyard. The night was just beautiful, no rainy clouds were seen.

The seminarians, coming from 16 different nations, delighted the audience with a mix of carols from around the world in different languages and musical styles. The seminarians’ performance was adorned with inspirational messages and even humorous remarks.

The St. Francis Children Choir and the Guam Territorial Band also joined the celebration and skillfully performed joyful Christmas melodies.

The night closed with a silent auction and a very tasteful Na’ Taotao Tumano’ (Buffet Dinner).

Everyone enjoyed a great atmosphere of friendship and brotherhood. The children particularly had lots of fun.

The concert was indeed successful. It was an opportunity for everyone to reflect on the love of God shown in Jesus Christ, in his Incarnation and birth. The concert was also an opportunity for the Seminary to thank everyone for their support.
