‘When I went to Confession this one time, the things that the priest said to me touched me.  It made me want to stop doing bad things.  He encouraged me to persevere and to do more the right things in life.  His words inspired me very much.  So, I changed my ways.  I believe I am a better person because of this priest.’

Editor’s note – Here are more messages written by Our Lady of Mt. Carmel 6th and 7th graders expressing their care and gratitude for priests in their lives. The students are listed by initials.

“Thanks to all the priests on Guam.  I have learned a lot from them. They help me with my relationship with God.  Priests have made a HUGE impact on my life.” – F.Y.

“I attend Mass every Sunday with my family and that has changed our lives.  Now that I am in a Catholic school I’ve learned more about my religion.  Now, I want to thank ALL the PRIESTS and all those who have brought me closer to God.” – C.N.

“There are many priests on Guam.  Two priests have really touched my heart and my family as well:  Father Jason and Father Wojciech.  They encourage me when I am down and they help me when I am in need.  When I am in need, they are always there.  I have many things to say about Father Jason.  He is like my right hand man.  He is there when I need advice, when I need to confess and in other helpful ways.  Now, let’s talk about my left hand man, Father Wojciech:  he’s like my sports buddy.  He is still teaching me how to play soccer.  He is a very fun, active, supportive and HOLY priest.” – M.
